Kapoho is a magical spot on Hawaii’s Big Island, a sleepy little community on the island’s eastern tip near Hilo. You won’t find white sand beaches or fancy resorts (they’re all on the Kona side), but you will find a water wonderland of tide pools and lagoons formed out of the flowing lava from the Kilauea volcano that provide a wonderful habitat for marine life of all kinds and a snorkeler’s paradise!
